Back On Track!!!! YEAH!




Yeah for getting back on track.....I have controlled the sugar today, drinking lots of water, eating healthy! Here is my dinner for tonight: Roasted Veggies (I find this to be the easiest way to eat a ton of veggies...they are so sweet roasted) and Chicken.....and a silly pic of me last night in my new hat the hubby bought for me......I don't usually look good it hats but I think this is very cute! Hope you are all doing well~

Merry Christmas!!!!


Hey all.....

I am sorry I haven't been posting, it has been super busy and I have been busy at the salon making everyone beautiful! I hope that you and your family are having a beautiful Christmas and enjoying time with family and reflecting on the birth of Christ (which is why we are all here)

Holiday time is very hard with food and I have not been too food with eating as of late.....but I got back on track (semi) yesterday and am at least eating partly healthy and drinking lots of water~ I weighed yesterday and had gained 3#, which sucks but I think alot is water weight because I have had lots of salt. But, in the grand sceme of things I usually gain 10-12# over the holidays so I know I can lose that pretty quickly especially since I need to get back to the gym.....(no excuses)

Happy Monday~

First off...I did NOT get SICK.....YEAH! After being sick with the horrible stomach bug hubby is better and back to work today, he was sick for 5 days...and I mean REALLY sick.....
WHINING...
MOANING...
GROANING...
IRRITATING...
DRIVING ME NUTS......kidding. I did feel bad for him but it was getting old....lol! PS....Terry we did not get flu shots.

This weekend was Good and Bad.....it was a fabulous time shopping, socializing and such, but eating wasn't so great as it normally can be when company is in town. But I am pushing the restart button today!

Let's just say that when I saw a story on Fox News this morning that talked about *sugar* being as addictive as heroin...I seriously believe it. I may have been a bit like a junkie yesterday. *sigh*

Oh well, I am human...
I am imperfect...
I do forgive myself...
I cannot be alone with cookies...

Have a beautiful Monday, I will be here detoxing and staying warm by the fire because the high today is 6 degrees. YIKES~

My husband has the flu

Yikes! I hate the flu...Gene has been sick for 3 days. He went to work but was feeling awful! It is the stomach flu too......ICK!

We were suppossed to have company arriving today, but they decided to stay at a hotel instead because they didn't want to get sick. They have kids and chose to not want the flu to run through their house.

I will be meeting them in about 30 minutes for dinner and shopping. We are going to Texas Roadhouse (I have never been) and this will be my ONE meal out for the week.

I must admit am starting to feel cold and achey so I sincerely hope I am not getting sick.....damnit~

Busy/Busy!!

It's been a busy week, working, decorating, getting ready for company tommorrow. And recovering from hives......lol!

I am finially back posting videos on You Tube so please check those out if you haven't already, it's really great to be back.

I am going to try and get back to the gym next week, I do not want to wait until January to get back into a regular workout schedule~

It has been busy at the salon...sometimes it's alot of work making people *beautiful* all day....and at the end of the day you don't feel so *beautiful* yourself! lol~

I hope your day is going well~ PS....I was 227 today and I could NOT be happier! My goal is to get to 224 before Dec 31 and I will have lost 30# this year which is amazing for me!
:-) I have never lost more than 25# ever and kept it off this long....the longest was 3 months....YEAH for me~

HIVES...HIVES...HIVES...

Oh my, oh my, I hate hives...I have been absolutely miserable! It all started Saturday night...got a little better yesterday and then the worst Sunday night. I have had little or no sleep so I am seriously exhasted~ I did see my Dr. this AM and she gave me a Dose pack, that will stop the scratch/itch cycle. I am feeling better already~

I did however manage to stay within my calories for the weekend although I did not track on daily plate...I am back to tracking this AM...

Good Morning.....I decided that I need to be tracking my food a little more carefully. One of my subscribers on You Tube checked out my blog after I mentioned not losing much weight after changing my whole way of eating. She said I may be getting too many carbs. SO.....I am going back to tracking on dailyplate.com! I will still be blogging here, it will just not be my food diary. I need to have somewhere to record my thoughts and feelings for the day, and that will be here.

Please do not feel pressured to check here and check there to keep track of me. I understand there are only so many hours in the day. I am only doing this because it's a great tracking system and it was working great so I am going back to it. Plus, it will also track my exercise also and it lays everything out in graphs ect. which I seriously love~

On the good side I weighed this morning and I was down 2# today. I was down to 228# then I bounced back to 230#....now I am back to 228# at least for today anyway.

Terry (Trboh) if you are reading this...I guess I am not making my goal for December 31st. My goal was to get to 204#. But I did not fail because I feel like I have made HUGE strides in my eating and have stuck with it. I started eating whole and less processed on November 13th. So, next Sat. it will be almost a month, and it has made a major difference on how I feel, act, and even carry myself. Someone asked me yesterday how much more weight I had lost..... So, I must *look* better! I do feel like it's so important when following a healthy eating lifestyle to be sure that you are tracking the *non-scale* victories along the way. Changing my eating is extending my life and *that* is the most important thing of all, now isn't it?

I hope you have a beautiful Friday! I will be taking all the lights back off theChristmas tree this morning as one of them has a short. I promise I did not say the *F* word at all last night after the whole tree went dark.....lol! (Yeah right!) There might be lots of swearing going on today....in fact you just might be able to hear me clear at your house! lol!

I planned out my day this morning because I have to work later, I always do way better if I have everything tracked and written down, because it will keep me from snacking on things that I didn't plan on. It's essential for me to have all my snacks planned out or I will be hungry and go off plan!

I have a few extra calories for something extra tonight along with the banana and berries....more than likely it will be some Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal and skim Milk.....or some yogurt and granola!

YEAH.....I got over 20g fiber today! I always feel better when I eat higher in fiber! :-) I may not be quite done for the evening...I have some calories for a snack tonight in case I need it but I may be OK with just some Chai tea/or some green tea!
