I love snow and I love Winter!

This morning we awoke to about 2" of beautiful, fluffy white snow! I adore snow and always enjoy the *first* snow of the season. I love to look out in our yard and see all white, before the dogs have made tracks all over.

There is something so magical about snow. It covers a dead and ugly lawn with a perfect pure layer of beauty. The trees are now all white too, and when the sun shines it looks like little diamonds.

How can you not love snow, and Winter? I do!

I beat the cream cheese, cocoa, and sugar and a little skim milk together until smooth and poured this over a mashed up, overripe banana.....YUMMY! If I had heavy whipping cream I would have put a tablespoon or so on top and it would have been even more like a sundae.....I was having a chocolate craving and this hit the spot~

3 slices Homemade pizza (whole wheat crust, tomatos, onions, spinach, feta, and mozzarella)
This Pizza is amazing and when I make it I never miss the meat, because I am not fond of meat anyway (only chicken)

I did very well I only ate a bit of this and a bit of that I have no idea how many calories but I know that it was no more than 700-800.....and I only had a small (tiny) sliver of pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. When I got home I ate a small amount of stuffing a little wheat dinner roll and about 4 oz of turkey~plus I drank 64 oz. of water today~

All in all I consider this a VERY successful holiday eating day. I am usually VERY VERY out of control and I usually binge and then go home feeling guilty and crappy and have a gut ache.

I am very proud of myself today!

I like to figure out my menu for the day (especially when I have to work) then there isn't a question what I eat.....if I track it already then I won't back out! I decided to forgo a snack tonight because I got off work late and didn't eat dinner until 7PM (after I baked the squash) instead I used butter and brown sugar which was amazing~ I baked the squash then put the butter and brown sugar in the squash and broiled for 5 min. YUM......it's crazy that I didn't know that I liked squash!

This was a wonderful eating day...I felt satisfied allllllllllllll day...even though my calories were a little low, I do think the ey was starting the day out with protein (eggs) I am going to try and eat more eggs because my body responds to them.....I may hard boil some eggs in the morning while baking some chicken! I will definately eat this day of food again.....it's a good thing I don't really ever get tired of eating the same foods over and over.....it's actually easier and kinda comforting knowing WHAT you are going to eat....I really like to plan out my meals! It's Monday and I did get sick yesterday.....it was the beginning of strep (I'm pretty sure) I started drinking (Tazo Green Tea) I swear that stuff is MAGIC.....and today I feel better. Still stuffed up but sore throat is gone....YEAH! I am still cold and a little achey, but I know with rest I will good as new tommorrow......

I tracked in my notebook and since it's three day now I am just going to start up tracking tommorrw.....I didn't eat nearly enough calories yesterday and today because I just didn't have a appetite...so my calories were actually pretty low and I tried to eat well...but also I was eating what sounded good at the time...

I tracked in my notebook yesterday but took a *free* day because we ate out last night......I am also tracking in the notebook today but woke up *sick* sore throat, achey....ect. So, I will record my foods hopefully tommorrow when I feel better.....I am upping my calories today because I don't feel well, but eating clean and putting stuff in my body that will nourish me.....:-)

Healthy Creations For Today

This is the Lo Fat Granola that I made today, I will never spend $3-$4 a lb. at the health food store for granola ever again.....easy and wonderful! Oats, Flax Seed, Wheat germ, Honey, Coconut, Cranberries, Orange and Cherry Crasins, Pecans and Walnuts 230cal per 1/2 cup! YUMMY!





Pumpkin Soup...totally easy and super healthy! It is delish!















The Orange Juice I made this morning! I juiced about 8 oranges and got approx. 36 oz. of fresh juice no sugar added! YEAH!

Happy Birthday to me!

Yes, today is my birthday! I do not feel a day over 29.....lol!

Today, started early...I woke up at 5:45 A.M. and couldn't sleep anymore. I decided to just get up and start my day. I am always glad when I wake up early because I feel like I have so much more of my day! :-)

So far it's only 8:25 A.M. and I already got the best birthday present ever...I lost 2 lbs. in the last few days of following a whole, unprocessed eating plan.

For me, I feel that processed food is toxic and it's been what has been holding me back from losing weight and truly feeling healthy.

We will be going out for lunch or dinner today for my birthday and I will eat what I want but I will be more choosey when I make my selection today. Even though it's my birthday, the best gift I can give myself is putting healthy food in my body!

3 Days of *Clean* Eating

Today, is my 3rd day of eating *clean* and basically unprocessed and I cannot tell you how much better I feel already. Here are some things I have noticed after just 3 days:

I do not feel tired
I have lots of energy
I cannot believe how satisfied I am (whole food really sustains you for a longer period of time)
I am seriously having to remind myself to eat
I feel in control
I don't feel bloated
I am not nearly as irritiable

I am going to begin tracking my food on this blog starting on Monday, I will also include pictures and videos that are relivant.

I will also at times include posts/pictures/videos about my life that I feel might be entertaining.
